Because it’s the best spot in the whole world to watch stars
Sunlight has just started coming through my bedroom window
Looking at the last of the sunset right now
And I’ve decided to record this while it’s freezing outside next to a pond by my house

I am vibing under the lamplight in my room
Just in my car
At the wayside, where I go to think
And I’m recording this in Ecuador, watching the sea

Um, I’ve never done anything like this
I’m a bit nervous
But I do feel like I know a little something about losing myself in pieces that other people take
Making art about experiences you’ve lived

I might not relate completely, but I know what it’s like to break down and build yourself back up
