Corduroy McLellan – Air Ducts Lyrics

Artist: Corduroy McLellan
Song: Air Ducts

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thought
So, he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of delusions
By thoughts, i mean specifically, chatter in the skull
Perpetual and compulsive repetition of words, of reckoning

I’m not saying that thinking is bad
Like everything else it is useful in moderation
A good servant but a bad master
And all so called “civilized peoples” have increasingly become crazy and self-destructive because through еxcessive thinking, they havе lost touch with reality

All these things i can’t control got me angry inside
Nothing worse when helplessness is your partner in crime
Tryna fix these things i can’t so i’m just wastin’ my time
Sick and tired of all this watching while i ride the sideline

I see my friend is hurtin’ i been prayin’ for days
I’d trade my life to see her happy that’s a small price to pay
Fed up with all these doctors they got nothin’ to say
Hear the pain in her voice but i can’t take it away

546 miles or 9 hours apart
Leaves a lot of time to think just don’t get caught in the dark
Now i’m wondering what’s next, not sure where to start
So many things i can’t control but i can’t leave ‘em in park

Watchin’ homies drown their sorrows with a bottle a day
Can’t face their problems so they hope their liver really wants to stay
Try to tell ‘em there’s a better way, but they’re not hearing me today
Keep ‘em in my prayers knowing nothing will change

Most of us would rather have money than tangible wealth
And a great occasion is somehow spoiled for us unless photographed
And to read about it the next day in the newspaper the next day is oddly more fun for us than the original event
This, is a disaster

It’s pouring rain, but i can’t make the sun shine
He controls it all but i don’t understand him all the time
My friend makes bad decisions drives me crazy in my mind
Cause i can see how wrong they are when i’m on the outside

And my teacher lost to cancer now he’s chillin’ in the sky
But there are times i wanna talk but he can’t come back in this life
Can’t wait to hear his voice again i hear it all the time
The anger built up inside, couldn’t be there when he died

At his funeral, all i did was look up at the sky
Too many questions all began to swirl in my mind
I’ll be fine just need some time to go from low to high
But when it fades away, my problems stay behind

And now i’m driving but the car in front had missed the stop sign
Head on into a truck and now they’re both barely alive
I saw it coming but i can’t control another’s mind
Father help me in this time to just let go and see the light

For as a result of confusing the real world of nature with mere signs such as bank balances or contracts
We are destroying nature
We are so tied up in our minds that we have lost our senses
Time to wake up

What is reality?
Obviously, no one can say because it isn’t words
It isn’t material, that’s just an idea
It isn’t spiritual, that’s also an idea

Reality is this…
